Project Summary

This project will isolate and collect a representative sample of Pythium species found in association with soybean in Minnesota. The researchers will identify the species and determine the prevalence and pathogenicity of Pythium species found in association with soybeans grown in Minnesota. In addition, they will determine the sensitivity of the Pythium species isolated to various fungicide seed treatments.

Project Objectives

1. Isolate and collect a representative sample of Pythium species found in association with soybean in Minnesota.
2. Identify the species and determine the prevalence and pathogenicity of Pythium species found in association with soybeans grown in Minnesota.
3. Determine the sensitivity of the Pythium species isolated to various fungicide seed treatments.
