Brief Project Summary:

This project will evaluate and validate conservation irrigation practices such as Phaucet and assess varietal tolerance to flooded/wet soil. The project will identify conservation measures to use to reduce total amount of irrigation water applied to soybeans in the Delta in order to halt drawdown of the alluvial aquifer and also lower irrigation costs and associated energy usage, and soybean varieties best suited for flood-irrigated environments.
