This project develops knowledge about soybean vein necrosis virus, a relatively new virus pathogen of soybeans. The research intends to estimate incidence of SVNV in Mississippi soybeans, annotate symptoms in infected plants, identify alternative hosts to the new soybean virus and study genetic diversity of the Mississippi SVNV populations.
