Brief Project Summary:

The Yield Challenge seeks to discover the management practices and environmental conditions that enable the production of higher soybean yields and to promote sustainable high yields in Illinois. In addition, the Challenge seeks to recognize top soybean producers as well as the highest achievable soybean yields across nine districts and four universities in Illinois. Keys to success in attaining and sustaining higher yields across the state include variety selection, suitable choice and application of management products, routine crop scouting, successful disease and pest management, comprehensive management records, and statewide teamwork.
