Brief Project Summary:

Because of decreasing availability of broad spectrum insecticides and lower insecticide use on Bt crops, stink bug levels have increased on all crops including soybean in North Carolina. The project develops thresholds for stink bugs in North Carolina that can be applied to full season or double cropped beans using various sampling devices, allowing producers to better determine when fields require scouting and to avoid unnecessary insecticide applications.
