This project is designed to build on the preliminary studies that were the basis for the FY2013 proposal, in order to support development of concrete management recommendations for soybean farmers with fields infested with both pathogens. Analyzing a disease interaction between two soilborne pathogens is an extremely difficult undertaking, but the potential importance of understanding this particular interaction requires our best efforts before we face the problem on a widespread basis. It is now clear that charcoal rot is spreading in Ohio.
