To stay profitable in a changing environment, farmers want recommendations based on current research for fertility, plant populations, herbicide management, etc. for their area. One way to do this is through a team-based approach that involves Extension, farmers and industry. Farmers are acquiring technology (yield monitors, guidance systems and computer controlled application systems) that makes this team based approach to research possible and presents Oklahoma State University with a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship with Oklahoma producers.
