DB709 is a novel biofungicide against Asian Soybean Rust (ASR) and other yield-reducing fungal Soybean Diseases. DB709 is a natural compound obtained from Glycine tomentella and has fungicidal activity that is greater than 95% effective against Phakopsora pachyrhizi, the causal agent of ASR. This project will evaluate the effectiveness of this biofungicide against several other foliar soybean fungal diseases and determine optimum applicable formulations of DB709 as a biofungicide under greenhouse conditions.
