Brief Project Summary:

The long-term objective for this project is to develop disease-resistant and high-yielding soybean cultivars adapted to the Virginia growing conditions. A major objective for the current project phase is to develop breeder-friendly and easy to use DNA markers for soybean virus resistance genes and their incorporation into breeding lines. The objectives of this research project are to:
~ Determine the magnitude of change in dryland soybean yield with variety improvement in full-season and double-cropped soybean systems.
~ Collect data on plant populations density, emergence rates, maturity dates, plant heights, lodging, yield, yield parameters (seed size, numbers and pods/plants) and...

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
