The goal of this continuing project is to help characterize and define key soil parameters that influence soybean seed yield and economics at the landscape scale and allow for accurate prescription seed rate recommendations.
Preliminary results from 2012 showed little correlation between the soil parameters measured and seeding rates and soybean yield. Additional observations are needed to develop reliable recommendations on the use of variable seeding rates for soybeans in Wisconsin.
