Brief Project Summary:

The emphasis areas for this project are: Production research priorities in support of the soybean breeding program and developing specific soybean traits for specialized uses, such high oleic soybean oil, specifically the improvement of soybean seed protein quality and quantity. This proposal aims to refine the genomic regions containing genes responsible for certain value-added traits: higher seed protein, and improved amino acid composition. This will allow us to accelerate breeding of soybean lines with protein based value-added traits, and may allow us to identify value-added genes per se.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
