Brief Project Summary:

This research project will focus on mapping genes that are responsible for increasing soybean yield stability. Most research looking at yield has tended to focus on genes that contribute to high yield while ignoring the effect of yield stability across a large region of different environments. This project is the first project to our knowledge which will evaluate how genes in the soybean genome reduce yield variance leading to more consistent yields across farmer’s fields and in different years.
