Brief Project Summary:

Soybean and corn are the most important annual crops in Minnesota. For many years both have successfully coexisted in rotation but concerns about the sustainability of the practice are increasing. The integration of cover crops into current cropping practices is considered as an effective strategy to sustainable production. Research on water and nitrogen use of cover crops and its impact on the following crop is limited.
