Brief Project Summary:

Glyphosate resistant soybean [Glycine max (Merr.) L.] comprises 96% of the total acreage planted in Minnesota in 2015. Research has suggested that glyphosate resistant soybean varieties are less efficient in manganese (Mn) uptake than conventional varieties. Although DTPA soil test for Mn is an accepted method to determine if Mn fertilization is needed for crop production, in Minnesota, however, use of this soil test method to fertilize soybean is not conclusive. Recent studies in Minnesota have shown significant relationship between DTPA-Mn test and relative grain yield. Soybean grain yield increased by Mn application on soils with 15 ppm or less DTPA-Mn. Because Mn-deficiency can significantly...

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
