Brief Project Summary:

This project will use a set of top candidate parasitic and toxin producing fungi identified in currently funded research through the MSRPC in 2018 to work on translating these findings into a viable biocontrol or bionematicide product. We will focus on three objectives: 1) perform bioactivity guided fractionation to chemically identify nematicidal and antifungal compounds in strains with high bioactivity, 2) test combinations of highly effective biological and chemical agents in greenhouse trials for dual activity against both pathogens, and 3) develop and test seed treatment technologies and spore formulation applications. This research on nematode parasitic fungi and their toxins will...
