Updated February 1, 2021:
This project represents a new effort in dealing with challenges of the seed quality that farmers are facing in their operations. As a research group we started with germplasm screening using a large set of plant introductions in attempt to identify new sources of natural genetic resistance to MSD. In addition, highly resistant PIs will be used as parents for crossing to incorporate MSD resistance in high-yielding lines for variety development and release. This work is currently on-going.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
