Pacific white shrimp are one of the most commonly farmed species in the U.S. Labor costs and lack of quality observation of shrimp feeding habits in pond settings are two of the major concerns for shrimp farmers and can have major impacts on profitability. The project goal is to develop science-based information on feed management alternatives for the culture of Pacific white shrimp under semi-intensive pond production conditions. By transferring this information to the industry, it would improve commercial feed management practices and reduce production costs. Exploring options for automated feeding and monitoring are recommended.Key Audience: Aquaculture feed producers, shrimp producers
