Brief Project Summary:

The long-term goal of this project is to generate soybean plants with durable resistance to aphid colonization. The researcher will develop the tools for high throughput gene functional analyses, validate potential target genes and toxic proteins, and identify specific promoter elements that will allow control of resistant traits in a sustained way. This research combines soybean molecular biology and the study of the interaction between the soybean plant and aphid. This information should be helpful in obtaining new approaches to reducing aphid infestations.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
