Brief Project Summary:

The first objective of the project is to compare new pre-mixes of fungicides and weather-based models for more efficient timing of fungicide applications in control of foliar diseases. The next objective is to monitor soybean sentinel plots, commercial fields for early detection of soybean rust and foliar diseases. The researchers will also assess the risk for yield loss due to premature defoliation caused by of Virginia soybeans.
