Brief Project Summary:

Best management conditions vary greatly across South Dakota due to the widely varying climatic conditions. Recommended management in one region will not apply to others. Therefore, to increase soybean yields in South Dakota, it will require the development of adaptable systems that link advances in soybean genetics to an improved understanding of ecosystem farming. This five-year plan creates a structure where locally-led questions are on-farm tested and flexible best management practices are validated.

Field results obtained from these topics will provide practical information for determining best management practices for producing soybeans in South Dakota.
