Brief Project Summary:

This soybean breeding project explores a variety of efforts to improve soybeans. It supported efforts to understand soybean quality and how genetics could tie to test weight, looking for genetics associated with quality characteristics. This work included looking at how environmental factors work with genetics. Other breeding efforts included looking at mechanisms of resistance to target spot, a diseases found usually found in the southeaster U.S., but that also been identified in other areas, including Iowa.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years.
