This project is intended to develop effective strategies for managing various diseases that impact soybean yields in Minnesota. The researchers will determine how root diseases and brown stem rot interact and how much they impact yield. They will also determine the importance and characteristics of Clonostachys root rot, a recently discovered root in Minnesota. The project will also determine the cause and management options for the Cercospora-like leaf blight symptoms that are commonly seen in soybean fields in Minnesota. This project will also develop and deliver soybean disease management information to farmers in Minnesota.
