Brief Project Summary:

Several high oil content plant materials have been developed by North Carolina-based breeders. The project measures the yielding ability of soybean lines with oil content higher than 19%, and seeks to develop breeding lines to generate crosses between high oil lines and high yielding varieties currently in commercial production.
