Project Summary

Project Objectives

1. Assessing the genetic diversity of avirulence genes Avr1a, Avra3a, Avr3c in populations of P. sojae from Iowa, Missouri, Ohio and South Dakota.
2. Determining if transposons contribute to diversity and activity in the P. sojae. Avr loci in isolates of P. sojae.
3. Developing specific primers that could be used to monitor key Avr locus in isolates of P. sojae for monitoring of pathogen populations shifts.
